1. Design Guidelines

The North Jersey Transportation & Planning Authority (NJTPA) commissioned a study with the Borough of Bound Brook to reconnect the downtown to the Raritan River. As part of this larger effort, guidelines outlining “Best Practices in Promoting Sustainability at the Municipal Level” were developed. These guidelines will be used as the statewide standard for sustainable practices.

As Project L.A., Arterial developed a comprehensive set of guidelines that outline clear and realistic best management practices for sustainability within the public realm. Green Streets Design Guidelines promote livability and sustainability through the use of various types of stormwater management strategies, urban forestry practices and green infrastructure improvements. Through the implementation of these strategies, municipalities are maximizing the cost-benefit of one of their largest assets.
