We're a full-service, collaborative Street Design Studio.
It's our mission to create pedestrian-centric spaces that encourage social interaction, connectivity and economic vitality. In 2009, we began work in street design - Streets That Do More™ . Since then we've branched out, applying what we learned about the pedestrian experience to other spaces including office parks, mixed-use developments, parks and trails.
We are casual observers, people watchers and advocates for Streets That Do More™ . That means we do our homework. We put in the time to consider all the possible angles and points of view a pedestrian might have, both literally and figuratively. We see the bigger picture, anticipating how to best address pedestrian needs through design and planning. Collecting all that data drives our creative process, giving us a strong foundation for when the time comes to put pen to paper and shovels to the ground.
Our 12-person studio is comprised of Landscape Architects, Planners, Urban Designers and Information Architects. As a strategic partner we work how you work. We work hard to help you see the potential that we see when we look at a street or space. We specialize in projects of any size and understand the importance of flexibility. Whether we're joining an ongoing project or handling it from day one, we're ready to jump in and take your project to the next level.

Dave Lustberg, LLA, PP
CEO & Managing Principal
David is a Landscape Architect, Planner and Urban Designer with more than 20 years of diverse professional experience. This experience ranges from street and plaza design to bicycle/pedestrian planning and redevelopment consulting.
David is the founding partner of Arterial and under his leadership the firm has become recognized as a leader in the field of planning, design and implementation of High Performance Streets - Streets That Do More™.
James Ribaudo
Director of Operations & Design Leader
James is an Urban Designer with a very unique skill set - he is equal parts creative and organized. This makes him perfectly suited to run the day-to-day operations of the design studio. His meticulous attention to detail and pursuit of perfection guarantees that every project receives the appropriate level of attention.
James is a partner at Arterial and has been there since day one. He has more than 15 years experience and has overseen some of the studio's most complex, challenging and exciting projects from concept to completion.
