Meet Your Host: David Lustberg LLA, PP
David founded Arterial in 2009 with a focus on designing streets and public spaces that bring people together. A landscape architect, professional planner, and urban designer, he has more than 25 years of experience helping communities turn their visions into places people enjoy.
Based in Montclair, New Jersey, Arterial brings together landscape architecture, urban design, planning, and civil engineering. The studio’s work connects community engagement and creative design with the practical considerations that make a project buildable: feasibility, coordination, budgets, and construction.
David will share lessons from Arterial’s work with municipalities, including the decisions and challenges that shape a project’s path from its first conversation to opening day.
